Academic Programme

Zee Litera Valley School admits both boys and girls from Lower K.G. to Class VIII. Exposure, and not just study materials, define learning at the Zee Litera Valley School. The School provides hands on exposure to the ‘real world’ by involving students in projects, sports, cultural activities, literary activities, excursions, computers and community service. A very low teacher-student ratio ensures individual care and attention. The learning process supports the natural development of the child, with the teacher serving less as an ‘instructor’ and more as a ‘guide’ or ‘facilitator’

Child Modulation Techniques Implemented:

1. Designing of a practical curriculum that promotes all-round development of the child with proper values
2. Use of modern multimedia and technology aided learning techniques to excel in academics
3. Regular yoga and meditation classes at the beginning of every day to integrate body, mind and soul to create a harmonious learning environment
4. Introduction of co-curricular activities like dance, music and martial arts in addition to games, sports and gymnastics to boost their physical growth and latent energy
5. Organize cultural events and healthy competitions at regular intervals to express their creativity and sharpen their competitive spirit

Teaching Methodology Practiced:

1. For class I : Implementation of the Interactive Circle
2. For classes II to III : The following method is adopted
3. Inform the students a day before about the lesson to be taught
4. Teachers read the lesson (or explain the concept in case of mathematics) followed by the students
5. The students make note of important words, spelling concepts etc. with the help of the teachers
6. Student-teacher interaction in the form of discussions (questions and answers etc.)
7. Solve the exercises - the objective types are discussed in class and given as homework while the short answer type questions are to be solved in the class with the teachers
8. After completion of the chapter, work-sheets are to be given as homework from the related chapter

For classes IV to VIII : The following method is adopted

1. Inform the students a day before about the lesson to be taught
2. Introduction of the concept or the lesson by the teacher
3. Students read the lesson (or teachers explain the concept in case of mathematics)
4. The students make note of important words, spelling concepts etc. with the help of the teachers
5. Student-teacher interaction in the form of discussions (questions and answers etc.)
6. Solve the exercises - the objective types and the short answer type questions are discussed in class and given as homework, while long answer type questions are to be solved in the class with the teachers
7. After completion of the chapter, work-sheets are to be given as homework from the related chapter
8. Worksheets are used as a mode of teaching grammar
